Hey,

I'm Thomas.

My connection with animals started long before photography. I studied ecology and wildlife, and in my early twenties I spent three years living and working in Ecuador at a wildlife rehabilitation centre. Living so closely with wild animals taught me to slow down, observe behaviour, and appreciate animals for who they are, lessons that still shape how I photograph today.

Photography began for me as a hobby through wildlife. I still photograph wildlife whenever I can, often while hiking and exploring the outdoors, which has always been where I feel most at ease. Over time, it felt natural to bring that same calm, patient approach into photographing dogs.

I’ve had dogs in my life too. One of them was Boris. Looking back, I wish I had taken more meaningful photographs of him, not just quick snapshots, but images that truly captured his character. It’s something many people only realise once it’s too late, and it’s a big part of why these photographs matter so much to me now.

Outdoor dog photography is, for me, a way to combine everything I love: animals, nature, and storytelling. It’s about creating honest, relaxed images that show dogs being themselves in natural places, whether that’s a forest track, open grassland, or the coast.

These sessions aren’t about perfect poses. They’re about connection, patience, and capturing moments you’ll want to hold onto for years to come.
