Your Dog Photography Experience.


I’m excited to photograph your dog and create relaxed, natural images that truly capture their personality.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know before your session so you can arrive feeling prepared, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the experience.


Before Your Session.


The best sessions happen when both dogs and owners feel calm and unrushed.

I recommend giving your dog a light walk beforehand to help them settle, but avoid exhausting them completely. We want them relaxed, while still having enough energy and engagement for the session.

Please don’t worry if your dog isn’t perfectly trained. Most dogs move around, get distracted, or need breaks that’s completely normal and all part of the process. Sessions are designed to work with your dog’s personality rather than against it.


What To Bring?


• Treats or rewards your dog loves

• Water and a bowl

• Poop bags

• A favourite toy if helpful

• A towel for beach or water sessions

• A simple lead and slim collar if possible


I highly recommend bringing a slim collar and lead rather than a harness. Slim collars are much less noticeable in photos and significantly easier to edit out afterwards, helping create cleaner and more natural final images.

If your dog normally wears a harness for walks, feel free to bring both and we can switch when needed.

During The Session.


Sessions are calm, relaxed, and guided naturally.

We’ll take our time, allow your dog to explore the environment, and capture both beautiful portraits and honest in-between moments. Some dogs settle immediately, while others need a little time, both are completely okay.


There’s no pressure for your dog to perform perfectly. Patience and flexibility are a big part of my approach, and often the best images happen naturally between poses.

Owners are always welcome to join in for a few photos too.


Nervous, Reactive, or Senior Dogs.


Every dog is welcome.

Whether your dog is energetic, shy, reactive, nervous, or older, sessions are adapted to suit their comfort level and pace. My background working with wildlife taught me the importance of patience, observation, and allowing animals to simply be themselves.

Weather & Rescheduling.


If weather conditions are unsuitable, such as heavy rain, strong winds, or extreme heat, we’ll simply reschedule your session at no extra cost.


Soft overcast weather can actually create some of the most beautiful conditions for photography, especially during daytime sessions. Clouds act like a giant natural softbox, creating soft, even light and gentle tones that work beautifully for natural portraits.


After Your Session.


Within 1–2 weeks, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view and choose your favourite images.


From there, you’ll be able to select your package, order artwork, and choose from fine-art prints, framed pieces, canvas artwork, or gallery wall collections designed to suit your home.


My goal is to create photographs that feel timeless and deserve to be enjoyed beyond a screen.
